After making felt balls (see on the process of Manufacture tab below), the ultimate step is to make those rugs. For this task, skilled men and women are appointed. They select the felt balls as appropriate size, colors, and amount. Once done, it is time to needle the balls in the perfect shape like round, rectangle, or shapes you like. Congrats you just made yourself a nice and comfy felt wool rug.
As mentioned, felt balls and felt rugs are entirely made out of felted wool. We use basically two types of wool.
(1) Lame’s wool is imported from New Zealand. This soft quality material is used in most of the rugs as 29 microns.
(2) Merino Wool of 19 microns is a substitute and are much softer than Lame’s wool but expensive (up to 3 times).
